2009 Matter and Beyond Essay Contest

In celebration of the quest for the meaning of existence, the purpose of life, and the nature of reality, The Fountain invites all graduate and undergraduate students worldwide to take part in its essay contest. Unlike many essay contests, the 2009 Matter and Beyond Essay Contest does not have a single topic; rather it is designed to encourage submission of articles on a wide range of topics. The mission of the contest is to promote and encourage writing that may lead to a better understanding of human nature and the universe.

Participants are required to take on a topic that touches in a way on the fundamental questions of the meaning of existence, the purpose of life, and the nature of reality. This is to be done in the light of new developments and findings in natural, social and medical sciences as well as of new perspectives in religion, arts and culture, and technology.

The contest is sponsored by The Fountain and the Matter and Beyond program of Ebru TV.
